I was so happy that I finished all the summer lessons. I only have two more of Tobey's classes, and then I will stop for a long time until my big test is done. Tobey wanted us to finish Matilda this week, and next time we can see the movie together.

I couldn't believe what he said. There were still 80 pages, and they were too many for me. Jimmy and I thought a good idea was that we each read a half, and tell each other what was going on. But then it was too funny and mysterious that made us read more than we could. Now, we are going to watch the movie!

One day I went to the bookstore to find another book to read, and I saw those beautiful bookmarks on the corner of the table. I really wanted to know who is the time traveler,so I asked the clerk if they had it.

First, I thought the book

was a little hard to understand

and that made me feel very

bored. I still wanted to

finish this dare. After a few days I can

read it faster.

The ballroom dancing

The World Games were over for a long time, but I still remember the ballroom dancing and the rock and roll championship game that we went to see. All of the teams were a man and a pretty lady. Those girls all wore high heels and a very shiny fitted dress. When the music started there seemed to have a invisible connection between them that made them became one and no mistake. As the boy was holding the girl's hand, she spun and spun. Her dress flutter around as a beautiful butterfly. I am wondering why wouldn't they hit other teams. There was a boy who can keep turning round for a while and he and his partner got the third prize. I liked the jive because the tempo was very fast and brisk, but the best I liked was the rock and roll. Each of the girls was so tiny. Mom said that is because their partner can carry them more easily. The winning team was so formidable that the boy spun the girl for more than 10 rounds. Every team also threw the girls up to the sky, and then she went through the hole between her partner's feet. The next minute the boy caught her up and kept dancing.

Part 2

"Jimmy you need to get up right now, or I guess your teacher will call you soon." I said with a loud vice, and then he asked me what time is it. I told him the truth, but he shouted back" No way! I don't now what are you talking about, but stop shouting at me! It is 7:00 right now."

What? He was right, I mistook the minute hand for the hour hand. Grandma and Grandpa were not in the living room, and Mom and Dad were still sleeping.

I finished breakfast immediately and went to the school . I was very happy because most of the time I have been sitting on my chair without any exercise. So strange! I almost arrived, but there weren't any ball sounds. When I looked in the window, there wasn't anyone.

What a lucky moring ! I went home, and think of what will happen next. Maybe I can asked Mom to buy a lottery ticket.

Part1

I didn't want to open my eyes even though I was awake. This cloudy day made me very lazy. What was the time? The clock stopped at 9:30. There was no school and cram class today and I was late for playing ping-pong. Maybe I should go to the school , but what if the coach was angry. Maybe I could go to the hotel with grandma and grandpa. My aunt was there on business. I was sad that she could't come. Then I could see a movie and study for a while.

Lots of things I could do. That made me get up at once and walk down the stairs as fast as I could, but there wasn't anyone downstairs. Jimmy was still sleeping, but he was supposed to be at cram class.

Student's trip

What can we do? The headmistress said that she will dismantle the class that has the least people who join the student's trip. If we are the lucky class, we will need to sit on different buses that aren't full. I knew we will! We only have 26 people who want to go. Some of them say that it is too expensive, and some wanted to take a break at home(even my good friend). But this is the most different experience in our junior high school lives. What was wrong with them? I can go to the same place one hundred times with different people.

I am surprised but sorry to hear that there are just 22 people from class 322 who want to join, and they almost cried out. I want to help them, but I am just as sad as they. However our teacher still can't be sure if we can stay together.

Working in Tobey's shop

This Sunday I went to Tobey's coffee shop to work. At first, there weren't many people, so I asked them if I can pull the weeds. Then I looked around. There were still a few people, so I washed some plates and talked to those coworkers. Just a minute later some people called for help. They were asking if there was someone that could teach them . I was a little nervous and worried about if they could understand me or if they think I would be very funny. But it turned out that I thought too much. Soon they could play by themselves. I left and told them with a strange voice, "If you have some questions, just call me. I am Amy." I was a little not used to saying that. It seemed I was a little serious, and they laughed.

I always said that I was almost in third grade. It sounded like there was more time, but now it is here. As close as just in front of my eyes. Mom asked me if I wanted to have English class. Why not?I surely want! But I know mom isn't kidding. She really wants me to think about it. Lots of my classmates stopped their piano lessons and drawing classes when they were in first grade. My great friend, who often wins first prize, is good at English. She canceled the lesson and changed it to Physics and chemistry. I hate to go to the cram class if the teacher is not good.I had free time than them. I am glad of it, but on the other han, I should spend more time on my studies.

Great! Another summer vacation was coming. I had to be patient for two more days. I couldn't even sleep and stop thinking. I wanted to made a schedule for myself: work, pull the weeds, and even spend all the morning sitting in the bookstore and reading Twilight. What a wonderful day it was. Just two more days....

All my dreams broke this morning. My teacher came in and gave all of us two papers. One is about the test times and classes in the summer after two weeks. I didn't really care about it, after all, we are all third grade students and I studied hard before. The other is the study schedule my teacher made for us. I couldn't believe my eyes" 7:00 to 11:00", and just a little time to take a shower and eat. My god! How about my books and exercise.

Even though I canceled a lot of places, reviewing still took me a lot of time. I didn't complain because I saw the test times before and it seemed sensible.

I was sad and disappointed, but it is just for one year. I knw I can make it.

My friends and I went to Dream Mall to celebrate the vacation and the test finished. We ate spicy fondue, but I can't eat too spicy food, so we ate the yuan yang one. We can choose two different flavors, and I still tried the spicy one. Jimmy and his friends went to the movies. We went out together, but I forgot that I wore the skirt, so couldn't ride my bike. The bad thing is I also didn't remember to bring the house key and the MRT card. I went to borrow the key from Mom in the store, but I was still late.

They were a little angry, but I said ,'' Come on. The good friends don't care about it." They laughed because I was too hurried that my face was all sweats.

Today I finished the big test, and I feel very wonderful. I took a big pink bag to school to bring my books home, but it seemed still too little for the books. Then I borrowed a trash bag from my teacher. When the work was down, I knew that I couldn't carry it all, so I asked my friend to help. The good thing is that I met Jimmy at the road corner, and he helped me to bring them. The stuff was off. I felt so light, but I thing he didn't thing so. Even though he complained all the way home, I know that he is very kind.

Today some of the boys in our class were carrying lots of big boxes. When I was wondering what happened, my teacher said ," Those are your review books for third grade." They are books that different subject teachers chose for us. I think I will be very surprised if my brain won't break when I finish those books.

The weather is getting hotter and hotter now. I need to take a shower first when I come home.

Today my friend who went to ping- dong sent mail here. She sent some letters and her drawings. I am very happly.

It is almost summer vacation. The third grade people are so impatient, after all, they finished the first big test. They sing like Vitas and their screams even spread in to all the school buildings. It is our turn next year for big the test, and many teachers are buying and giving reference books to us.

Father's business friend and his family came with us to Kenting, too. They are from South Korea, so Father and Mom talked to them in English. I'm the only person who had learned Korean, but I forgot a lot, so we seldom played together. At last, we also played drawing joker with them. They are kind

and friendly. We also went to the aquarium and rode the bikes with them. This is a special experience that I will never forget.

Today we went to Kenting, and I was so excited. Jimmy 's sixth grade friend was going there, too. It was a big surprise that they stayed in the same hotel with us.

I knew that people who go to Kenting should swim and have fun at the beach, but I was sick, so Mom didn't let me go swimming. I really wanted to play on the water slide , but I still went to the spring place with my cousin(My uncle's family came with us).

the Wii we brought, after all when we went to the beach that had a big chess board, his leg got hurt.

I am so glad to be in my family, after all , my mom and dad don't give me too much pressure. My friend isn't very happy. She is one of my idols because she always gets good grades, and her painting is so beautiful. Her father is a dentist, and he wants her to be a dentist, too. She really wants to be a artist, so she can just listen to her father now, and finish her dream later. I seldom see her laugh, and her friends don't either.

Tobey told us to read Matilda one page everyday because we thought one chapter was too long and it was harder than Cam Jasen. Now I feel better, and I have more time to look up some words in the dictionary. Soon, we can finish the story and watch the movie about it.

There are two other exciting things. One is I finished The Lord Of The Rings, and we are having a trip on Saturday and Sunday.

Last time, my uncle came here and gave us a lot of water snails. They are so cute but too small, so they didn't eat many moss. We still need to clean it sometimes. There are so many now, and they keep having babies. Maybe soon they will grow in to all the fishbowl. I hope it won't, after all, Gina always uses a spoon to kill them. I don't want to do the same thing.

The weather is so hot and the classroom is so stuffy. All my shirts are wet even though I got a haircut. My sweat keeps falling down, and it makes me and my classmates uncomfortable. We don't want to move in PE class. Before, I got up some of my classmates are still sleeping, but we all can't sleep now. It feels like lots of snot sticking on our bodies.

YA! I finished my test, and my brain became so light. People always say," Big test big play" and I want to do that now. My friends and I are going to watch the movie Back To Seventeen. The leading actor is . I can't wait to see it.

I am so busy that I don't have time to send the e-mail to the government. After all, I have a long test week without any fun. The math and Chinese test was so difficult . One of my classmate who is the the first even cries when the test finished. Mom told me do not think too much and pay attention to prepare for tomorrow tests.
She also said the government knows they are healthy, but they want to see if they can adapt Taiwan environment.

Today Tobey said Steve misses Taiwan. Maybe he will come back and live with Tobey, but the problem is that he needs to make sure how to bring his birds in. They all have babies now. They want to stay with the birds and check in Canada, but they didn't know what the Taiwan government wants. We are trying to help find out the answer now.

I was so delighted that my aunt will come tomorrow, so I studied all the tests for today and tomorrow. When I was taking a shower I heard my aunt's sounds, and I couldn't believe it. She was here! I quickly went out and she said that it is because today is Labor day.

The high school memoirs

We are almost in third grade, and we will have a big memoirs exhibition at school, so I am collecting the pieces, school report cards, and lots of things about me in junior high school. I want to put my painting on the first page and make it into a book. Then maybe when I need some report to apply for schools I will use it.

I am so surprised that those pipe cleaners are so useful and cute. We made apples with different colors, book marks which grew a large strawberry, and a very strange bear (I think that it is more like a mouse). Today we put the bear on a pen and used the pipe cleaners to roll around it. Maybe on someone's birthday, I can make some for them!

The rainy day

I hate today, after all, my friends invited me to plactice playing basketball. I waited for many days. The weather was very good until today. It just keeps raining, so we can't go out.

Sunday is the day to play and to relax for me at all times, but my cram class teacher gave us an appointment to have tests from 7:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. Everybodyin my class must go. I wanted to tell him,"We had an emergency at home" very much, but I didn't say out. I am so bored that day because my good friends didn't go that day.

Tobey took a new game, Sleeping Queens, here today. Jimmy and I like the queen pictures, but I don't like the dog queen and the cat queen. After all, they always fight then go to sleep again. The thing that made me surprised was it was made by a 6 year old girl. One night, she couldn't sleep well, so she thought about the rules. When her mind was made up she taught her sister and then her family. They all thought it was a great idea. Tobey wants to make it 3D.

Today we went to Wawoo to help Tobey teach the games. He also gave us a T-shirt which has a mark " Tobey's". Brandon, Ray, and Joanne were there, too. Tobey made 6 big turtles with different colors, and all the kids there were so little.

After teaching , Joanne gave us little papers to spin the wheel. I got candy peaches.

Tub-sweeping day

We went to Ping Dung on Tomb-sweeping day. This year Mini and my aunt didn't come back. with us. I was a little bit disappointed because I had many things I wanted to tell her, and I like to hear her stories.

I still had a fun time except one thing. I really wholeheartedly asked my ancestors that if they are pleased. I tried 5 times, and I even remembered to roll three times, but they just kept laughing or being angry.

We also watched Chibi2 with our families. I waited to see this since winter vacation , and I thank my uncle so much that he gave us it.

Today my mom and I had a quarrel because she said I didn't study hard, so I can't play computer. I really studied hard and I thought that I can control my own time, but Mom even didn't like if I spend too much time at my writing.

I knew it is certainly not right to yell to Mom, but I did that because I was very angry, and my tears almost came out. I slammed the door.

We were better in the morning, but I still didn't now how to tell her.

Oh~No!

Oh~No! It's almost the test day,but there is another terrible thing. My math teacher called to Mom, and told her he wasn't satisfied with my grades. That meant I needed to stay and do more practice until 10, but how about my other subjects.

A BIG SURPRISING DAY

I met my friend when I was having the math class in my cram school.On that day our teacher called us to be calm because there is a new member in our class. I recognised her, and I was so surprised she was here.

I went to the ping-pong competition with the school team last year. It was a week before the test day, but we still had a lot of fun. She and I became best friends in a few days.

Because the PE class students are in a different place, and the rule said we can't go beyond the building so it's hard for us to talk to each other. I am very happy, and so is she.

I am so angry because i just can't find the words, but Tobey didn't let mefr play magic cards until I find it. Finally, I found it but Jimmy and Tobey already started to play, so I don't have the game time today.

YA! I am so happy that I finished The Lord Of The Rings 1. I wanted to read the next one, but the test day is almost here, so I need to wait. Tonight, there is the movie of it on TV, so I watched a little part. The story isn't all like the movie. The director changed many places.

Student club activities is my favorite class because we can pick it ourselves and do the things I like. There is one class I never saw before. The first two words are hair roots . I am very curious, so I wanted to try. Then my friend and I pick it together.

The hair roots are soft and long. We used them to make lollipops, apples, and flowers. The teacher also taught us to make a lazurite adornment.

I didn't do exercise for a long time when I am in second grade. Mom said we should do more exercise, and I didn't like to sit on the chair all the time.

Jimmy and his friend go jogging on Wednesdays and Thursdays, so I go with them. I was a little tired on the first time, but now I won't feel that anymore.

The library in our school wanted to move to the first floor, so everyone around here can go and borrow some books. I am happy that we can borrow one more book now, but it is more dangerous because the stranger can come in.

The work is finished now. I borrowed a book called " Lord Of The Rings".

Today is 2/28, so we don't need to go to extra practice school. I thought I can have some rest time, but teacher gave us a lot of homework to do. It was OK because I still had more extra time.

The bad thing came in the morning. My teacher called my telephone, and told me to go there and write some more math. It is so hard that I spent so much time and brain on it. When I finished it was almost 1:00.

Today is father's birthday, and we all ate strawberry cake together. Father wished we can get up earlier by ourselves, and don't make Mom angry. It's because he often wakes up by Mom's loud sounds. It is a really hard mission for us.

Today I wanted to sleep more, but father and Benny were ready to go biking. " "Five more minutes" didn't help me at all, so I still needed to get up. We rode along Heti Rd, and went to father's old school.

At night we saw Discovery together. There was a interesting program about dinosaur's evolution because it is the man who talk about natural selection's 2oo year old birthday. His name is Darwin.

I wanted to paint my bedroom to make it be more colorful, but Mom was against it. She said it will make the room very dirty, but I still want to color the wall.

We found many special stickers to put on the wall ourselves. They can be taken off all the time and look like they are painted on.

There are many kinds of stickers: dogs, flowers, robots, and fish. I like all of them, but I picked one that has many flowers and grass. I wanted to change my room to a beautiful garden.

Mom ordered two big pizzas today, after all, my friends came here to finish our science fair project. We are making some spring eggs and are finding out which is the most popular . We discovered the egg yolks will be cooked faster than the egg whites. We thought maybe it was because different proteins have different cooking temperatures. We also saw Spider Man 2 together.

I am very happy that I finished Cam Jansen. Now we have another book to read. It is harder and longer.

Again and again

For the science fair, we tried again and again. First we gathered and thought about lots of projects, and then we found many data. The problem is the time was very short, so we needed to think about easier things. We chose to feed the things that will be on the bad food, and observe them. We took maybe three weeks to do it, but then when we knew they won't let us use that project because it is not good for people's body. We were very sad.

It's the end of the winter vacation. We had a fun time with Mini and Gina, and they really came to our house. Mini, jimmy, and I took the MRT to Formosa Boulevard Station. We went there when the orange line started.The ceiling was made by a colorful and grand stained glass. We also walked in the tree maze, and we thought it was a good place to go to a picnic.

At night we watched a movie together.

My cousin Gina finished her university test, so she can come and play with us. She almost 6 years didn't come to our house almost 6 years , but uncle said he can't decide yet, and he needs to see if they have time. We went to the old house today. Mother bought some New Year's presents. I am happy to be the first person to choose, and then I picked a Hello Kitty pencil case. She will be a Santa Mom on New Year's Eve.

Mom said there is a new subject Earth science in ninth grade, and maybe I can learn it first. Then I will not be too tired next year.


It tells me about the sun, stars, water, and the rocks, but I didn't know about it too much of it when I finished this diary. Today my teacher taught us about the solar system, and maybe we can move to Mars.

My last vacation

This is my last vacation because next year I will be in ninth grade, and I need to prepare for my big test.



We went to Tobey's game store tonight. We played Mall of Horror and Blokus.
